Wired 360 controller is the easiest controller to hook up for your PC, and I'm sure logitech controllers work. I haven't gone into 3rd party controllers though.

If you're looking to play action games like DMC, use your 360 controller. If you're going for side scrollers, get any controller that has the d-pad and button layout aligned, like the Dualshock for example. The only thing is that I don't know how those controllers are configured, unlike the 360.

Been playing Shadow Warrior, I'm surprised that it's already 75% off after being released for a couple of months.

The console I enjoyed the most: Gamecube. This is perhaps one of the most underrated console of any generation. The games were amazing, and has put good use to GBA titles. From Eternal Darkness to Metroid Prime, and even then the console was undersold. I also liked the N64 a lot too, (although the controller was like WTF) it revolutionized 3d gaming for consoles (making the analog stick mainstream), and made some of the best 2d to 3d transitioning of nintendo's earlier titles. Mario felt like Mario, Zelda felt like it was made for 3d to begin with, and then gamecube Metroid Prime surprisingly felt like a Metroid game.

After Atari screwing up the console industry due to fear of 3rd party and rushing their big boy games, the gaming industry was at a questionable state. Plus, the games were awesome, with Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, Contra, etc...The SNES was also amazing, and worthy of being the successor to the NES. Most gamepads follow the SNES controller layout. The Dualshock was heavily inspired by it, the Dreamcast decided to go with 4 diamond buttons as well, the SNES controller defines it basically.

These two are my favorite in different ways, while I love the other consoles as well. I've always trusted Nintendo as a gaming company. I truly do miss Sega being a hardware company, and I respected Sony during the 32-64 bit era (5th gen).

So far as the dollar per entertainment hours ratio goes, subscription MMO's are the most efficient entertainment medium in existence. Bottom line, I've never gotten as attached to nor played as long on any F2P MMO as I did EQ.

It is a different-style combat, but I don't really find it any better than the traditional hotkey gameplay. I don't blame you though, the combat in MMOs have always been iffy. But I've never been a fan of Elder Scroll's combat, although I loved the storyline.

I understand. But as someone who has played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, there are plotholes, especially how anyone can be emperor. I can't wait to see xxLegolas101xx Septim. I pretty much played elder scrolls for the mods and storyline.

I've personally gotten used to cash shops, but as long as I can play the game and enjoy without any restrictions (like TERA for example), I'm gold. I don't even prefer the complete free to play route either, though it is good for MMOs to attract more and more people to come in, and DCUO's F2P transition has heavily got SOE's attention. But the true model I prefer is the Guild Wars 2/The Secret World model, where you pay for the game and don't require a subscription. I have subscribed to WoW before, and for me, WoW will be the first and only game i'm subscribing to. If I really didn't care about it that much, I'd probably be playing eve to this day.

As someone who has siblings that played Everquest, I don't really see it as an Everquest game, though I am extremely excited. One of my brother's don't have time for MMOs, while the other one is actually anticipated for it. I'm looking for enjoyable, dedicative MMOs that doesn't get in the way with the business model.

ESRB welcomes strong language, but at a limit...but this goes for campaigns, not community. You're right about people don't have to read people's "pottymouth" if they don't have to, which is why you'd either deal with it, or make a fool out of yourself over words. Xbox live is a prime example, because the community is known for kids screaming in their mics. The one feature that Xbox Live and Mafia has that you can use, is -mute (which may change the game, but still). If you can't deal with the strong language people put out, you can just walk away. Resident Evil is no longer Resident Evil. It got from horror to action. I mean, I'd rather play left 4 dead 2 or dead rising 2 if this were a case, and dead rising 3 was a huge disappointment for me in E3. They need to work on the PC port for Resident Evil...never had so much pain with the FoV in a third person game. Even L4D2 has FoV issues. Also, don't remind me of Gears of Wars, as I desperately hate epic games (although Unreal Tournament is my favorite franchise of all time)

The 6th generation ended my console journey. I enjoyed games on PC more, and consoles were last good at that time. If I were to get a PS4/Xbone, I'd only get it for Kingdom Hearts 3 and that is pretty much it.

PC is just so much better for core gaming. More access, more comfort for concentration, easier sales, better deals, etc...I prefer to use the console with the big tv for party games, which is why I consider getting a Wii U. Playing with Friends and Family and nerding a night out on Smash Bros or something.

Not referring to consoles, but how each major company sees this. Valve owns Steam. As of right now, Steam is a big thing for PC gamers. Exactly. Even if they admitted to their faults back in 2006, like overpriced PS3, you could tell what kind of business model they want. It is obviously for the money. Before, they were going on what looks best on paper, which is guaranteed to fail. Here, they want to look as consumer friendly as possible. The only reason why PS4 is a huge success is because Microsoft is tired of having customers. Nintendo and Valve combined gets it to be honest. Quality over quantity.

Yeah. The only thing innovative consoles can bring is benchmarking, which can push for much more powerful GPUs and CPUs...except for this gen with CPUs. The sad thing is, the Wii U has best CPU out of the 3 consoles. PS4 is using 8 core AMD jaguar, which is mobile CPU. And Xbone's CPU is pretty equivalent to the PS4's CPU. I personally hate core gaming on consoles. Especially that most of the core games mainly consist of FPS on controllers, which is utter shit compared to mouse and keyboard. I will be sticking with consoles when it comes to party games, but everything else is nay. The Wii U is very damn similar to the dreamcast, which is what I am most worried about.

Gamers don't have to waste time, it is easier to access deals, and developers will still get money even years after the release of an old game. It is also true that their quality is shit.

As for restrictive sales, I do love the idea of digital downloads nowadays. Especially if you have an old game like Unreal tonurament, each time you get a deal you'd still get money. Retailers like Gamestop would go as far as selling used games, and give store-credits to you. After having my xbox overheating not too long ago, got myself a 50$ steam wallet. It puts players and certain companies at an advantage, but the publishers/developers don't get anything in return, which sucks. I still have a problem with the idea of paying full price for AAA titles digitally, due to the fact that the portion of the CD price goes to shipping and handling.

And to the console wars, I'll probably get the console with the most party games. I've enjoyed playing consoles with friends and family, and the Wii U is already in the lead for me. The thing is, I don't like core-gaming on consoles. The only game I've enjoyed while core-gaming on consoles was Bayonetta, but that was pretty much it. BF4 is completely unneeded in my opinion. It's basically BF3 with commander mode, ingame browser, and some other neat stuff. BF3.5 more like it. Although, I hope the destruction they showed up was real-time and not scripted. Probably scripted, but a man can hope.

Bit worried about ME2, they didn't show much parkour and really focused on the hand-to-hand fighting. Maybe it'll be good, but I'm worried about most of the EA games. Reserving my judgement on DAIII until gameplay.

Yeah, I am still kinda bleh with EA, but I think they may do better. Remember, it used to be that Activision was the bad company and that EA was the good company. But the shittiest time with EA was with Riccitiello.

And so true. I may buy the PS4 in the future, but not near...Distant, probably very. I really love the idea of Destiny, it's a shame that they've not announced a PC version. FPS sucks on controllers, but ah well.

Imma go ahead and recommend looking at CyberPowerPC. Can't speak for other people, but I am happy with this PC I got last August.

That's very good to hear. Very agreeable actually. SC2mafia is supposed to be mafia themed, but with SC2 style models. The mafia have tommy guns, so there's your giveaway.

Dunno if you're using the point system like SC2mafia (Haven't checked much of it actually), but for Donors and people who have spent enough time with the game, you should be able to pick and be open to different models. Just like people have character limits/color limits in SC2mafia.

Dunno if you're using the point system like SC2mafia (Haven't checked much of it actually), but for Donors and people who have spent enough time with the game, you should be able to pick and be open to different models. Just like people have character limits/color limits in SC2mafia.
