Instead, we should invite more people into that room so everyone knows what cheaters discuss.
No secrets = no cheating
After all, cheating is about monopoly information that others do not know.
This idea is not new. A lot of people have demanded enemy production tabs / removal of fog of war in the context of taking the advantage away from cheaters. But this is a game build around deception and having little to no information available. I think mafia needs secrecy - otherwise there is no point playing it.
I agree with Cryptonic. Hosts should show consideration for their players. They should realize that all of us are real people investing our precious free time into games.
Actually, we should all remember how everyone of us is a real person. I think nobody that keeps that in mind will ever cheat.
Just my two cents.

All the Games were incredibly good on there: Zelda, Pokemon

How far backwards compatible is the Wii U? I think not having backwards compatibility is a outrageous money grabbing on the side of Microsoft and Sony that can't be tolerated. You can get two decade old games to run on PC.

Language is necessary to live in any place. I won't argue with that. You could move to France and then learn French if have enough money to stay long enough without a job.
But I think there is more to your nationality than just a language.
Take me as an example. I am fluent in both Chinese and German. I look Chinese, like both countries food and grew up in a mix of both cultures. I don't even know what my nationality is (officially it's Chinese, though). I have also have passports from both countries.
But is language enough to be fully integrated? Do you have to be foreign to be not integrated?
Maybe being foreign and being integrated are to separate things?

I always lived in a blended blur of Christianity, Hinduism and Shenism (folk religion). Neither of them really strike me in particular, though.
I also have yet to meet an extremist Muslim. All of the people I have met can barely be described as living 200 years ago. Some people are "traditional" regardless of their religion. I have yet to notice an important difference between a traditional Christian, Muslim or Chinese. Traditional means (amongst other things:) demanding obedience from children, disregarding a facet of modern lifestyle (including homosexuality, drinking, playing video games), adhering to old practices ...
I don't see traditional people as misguided ... you just need to learn how to deal with them.

Interesting. I have many friends who are Chinese living in Malaysia / Singapore. Don't think I'm close minded / haven't traveled a lot just because I am from Germany, lol.
Living in Singapore now, how does hostility affect you personally? Do you have trouble finding a job? Do people stare at you in public? Do you feel like people don't take you serious? These are the three things that affect me the most here.
EDIT: I also thought that having more foreigners helps decrease hostility. The part of Germany I live in barely has any, especially rural areas and "hate" (like you word it) is through the roof. I expected the multinational and culturally diverse Singapore the last place to find it.

Okay, that explains the highly negative opinion about pub games on the forums.
There is trolling on EU, too. The sentence "red is always maf" is not unknown to me, but it usually doesn't lead to a lynch. People sometimes pick names like "Justin Bieber" but I rarely saw it change the way the game is played.
Overall the theme seems similar, just not as bad as you describe it from US pubs.
We seem to have far less players, though. Once you play a few games every night you start to recognize people. It's quite fun to play with people that you have met before. I guess it gives you the feeling of inhouse games when you play with people that you know.
The player I talked about is [7GRAM]WardonkeY ... he's actually a really patient, friendly player.

Hello! I have been reading your forum for quite a few days because I love mafia and wanted to contribute in some way to it.
I have noticed something, especially while reading the more spammy threads: A lot of people on this board seem quite hostile against foreigners / immigrants. This thread is not for pointing fingers, it's more about HOW and WHY. :)
Being an immigrant myself, I am well familiar with the situation. I'm originally from PR China/Hong Kong, but my family has moved to Germany before I went to primary school. Having spend the majority of my life here I can speak German accent-less, yet I sometimes fall victim to general hostility against foreigners. I thought this is typical for old, uneducated Germans that grew up in a closed-off state (East Germany) and didn't really expect to see it that much anywhere else. :S
So: If you are a foreigner (or you are a close friend of one), have you ever been target of general hostility?
If you are a non-foreigner: What is your opinion about immigrants?
Speak your mind freely. I am too interested in your opinions to judge them.

Also: Are pubs in US worse than EU? There are no inhouse games in EU and pubs are all we've got. Two out of three games are actually passable and every third game is really intense once the early phase is over...

Hello guys!
I was very excited to learn the changes to the Starter Edition of SC2 that blizzard will be making in the upcoming patch. One feature worried me, though: Starter Edition owners will be able to use the arcade.
While this sounds great (more potential mafia players), this could go haywire for us.
As far as I know, battle.net accounts can be made for free, as many as you like. That means that everybody has access to mafia. Even those who were perma-banned, kick- or watchlisted.
They could just get a new email, make a new battle.net account and keep going. People could even make accounts with hacked bank files just to troll without having to worry about consequences.
Is this true? Am I missing something?
