That is not a dice roll, though, as the two situations you described are how Mafia is played.
[s]One big thing I could see to help balance is that the Mafia becomes immune to detection when partner dies, and would take affect before investigations in OoO. A very unlucky N1 could end with Town having massive advantage the entire game; they would require 2 misslynches to lose.[/s] nvm, mafia already can't be detected.
