Hello there! While SC2Mafia is certainly my favorite iteration of this game, when trolls aren't ruining the experience of course, there are a few roles I've seen in other versions that I thought would be neat to include in a future update. I've sure some, perhaps even all of these have been suggested at some point, so apologies in advance if this is redundant. Please share your thoughts!
Actress/Impersonator
Affiliation: Mafia/Triad
Summary: A talented actress working for organized crime
Categories: Mafia Deception/Triad Deception
Has Night Ability? Yes
Abilities: Choose one town-aligned role each night. Will appear as the last chosen role upon death.
Goal: Kill off the Town and everyone else who would oppose you.
Investigation Results: Mafia/Triad (Sheriff), Identity Theft (Investigator)
Options: Can only choose a role once. (Default: Off)
Concept Thoughts: Like the framer and janitor, this role would make it more difficult for town to figure out who the mafia are via process of elimination and might result in legitimate town roles getting lynched because people are less likely to believe multiple claims of doc, sheriff, etc. By optionally restricting this to only allowing one role choice, the actress must decide when to choose a role and which role she can convincingly fake considering she won't have any of the information necessary to support her claim.
Lover
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: A tragic individual who just wants to survive with the one she loves
Categories: Neutral Benign
Has Night Ability? Yes
Abilities: Visit someone, once per game.
The target will fall madly in love with her.
Will commit suicide if her loved one dies of any circumstance, and vice versa.
Goal: Survive to the end of the game with their loved one, regardless of whether or not the Town or Mafia win.
Investigation Results: Not Suspicious (Sheriff), No Crime (Investigator)
Options: Will become Jester on death if loved one dies. (Default: Off)
Becomes Serial Killer (Copycat) if lover was Serial Killer and dies of any circumstance. (Default: Off)
Concept Thoughts: Like the survivor, the lover just wants to survive. More difficult to play, however, considering they don't have a bulletproof vest and will die if their loves one dies. Having them convert to Jester instead of suiciding increases viability that she will win, however my concern is that the Lover might try to get their loved one killed on purpose to force a conversion. My other thought is that if Lover chooses not to visit or is rbed, they could wait until the game is almost over to claim her lover, though I'm not sure if this would improve or reduce her odds of winning since she is otherwise a powerless role.
Obsessed Lover
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: A deranged, lovestruck individual whose intense feelings inevitably push them over the edge
Categories: Neutral Evil, Neutral Killing
Has Night Ability? Yes
Abilities: Choose someone during the day, once per game, by typing -stalk #.
See everyone who visits her target each night.
Will automatically kill one random player who visits her target each night.
Converts to Serial Killer if their target dies of any circumstance.
Goal: Along with their 'loved one', be the last two people left alive.
Investigation Results: Serial Killer (or Not Suspicious), Trespassing, Murder(Investigator)
Options: Commits suicide if their target dies of any circumstance. (Default: Off)
Concept Thoughts: Sort of a twisted Veteran, killing those who visit their object of desire rather than themselves. Ideally, the Obsessed Lover would want to survive along with their target until the final three and convince their target to lynch the remaining townsperson, regardless of their affiliation. Not the easiest victory condition I know, but I thought it would be fun and unlike any other existing goal. Allowing the Obsessed Lover to convert to SK mid game rather than suicide increases it's power and gives her an alternate way to win should the object of their desire perish.
