I was almost hit by a car.
Yes, I was almost hit by a car that had to be travelling at least 50 MPH.
This was last night.
I am seriously still shaking, guys. I am glad to still be alive. I don't feel comfortable going in details.
Just thought I should let everyone know.
Re: I was almost hit by a car.
look right, left, then right before you cross.

Re: I was almost hit by a car.

Re: I was almost hit by a car.
I had a near-death experience like this too. When I was younger I was trying to be a badass so I jumped out of some truck thing (it was at a resort, had a bunch of cart things to carry people between places). I was retarded, however, so I fell and almost got ran over by it. Bloodied up my knees and elbows, though.
Re: I was almost hit by a car.
well sounds like you had a bad night last night

I think this would depend on where you live, dependent on whether the road you cross has cars driving on the left or right side. As in America, we are supposed to look left, right, then left.
I'm glad you're not hurt though, Crimson. Near-death experiences are known to traumatize people, but I hope that this experience won't scar you that way. Was the driver drunk or something?
Re: I was almost hit by a car.
How drunk where you Crimson? öÖ
Re: I was almost hit by a car.
I'll admit something, Crimson. I was once the stupid driver you encountered. It was a stressful drive into Toronto to drop my sister off, and that is a city you really have to pay attention in, as there are signs and lights EVERYWHERE. That day, I drove right through a crosswalk which was flashing...and almost hit a girl by a foot, and I was going about the same speed. It is a lesson I have retained to this day: pay attention to godamn everything.
I hope the driver feels as shitty as I did. But there are some idiot drivers who have zero empathy for accidents they almost cause.

Hobos don't drive cars.
Re: I was almost hit by a car.
I can understand how that must have felt. me and the front bumpers of cars have bad history, I've been hit by 3 cars while growing up.
the first time was my own stupid fault as a kid running after a ball into the street tho i wasn't really hurt car was only going about 10 mph. the second was a hit and run. a car drove up onto the curb and clipped me from behind and knocked me over. lucky all i got was a sprained ankle and some scraps and bruses. the third was another hit and run and landed me in the hospital for some time. i was just starting to cross a cross walk as it said walk and a car flew around the corner and turned right into me. broke both my legs, my right arm, a few ribs and scuffed me up pretty bad.
nowadays I'm rather paranoid while walking on sidewalks or crossing streets. as far as the drivers go they where never caught, but I'm just thankful to be alive really.
