Me thinks it's a bad idea. You're right on the part about attracting more players; however, the game would no longer be a game of Mafia. Points are good the way they are. And this is from a guy without -prefer.

They did that in the past and it got shut down. Cannot give special features for monetary donations.

yeah i meant the in - game points that you receive from playing the game, like I think it would be really cool to buy perks from an in game store. viggy bullets, vests, the bus driver ability to swap yourself with someone for 1 time use only would be pretty cool. I got this idea from a playstation 4 game called Blackops 3 Zombies. where you can actually buy these things called gobble gums. and the gobble gums let you have all kinds of different perks and stuff its really cool. I just thought it would be awesome if you could actually do something with the points that you got in-game. Thats what i think anyways.

I feel like this removes part of the point of playing mafia. It's predictable but chaotic. Predictably chaotic. You shouldn't need to worry about whether or not vig has 20 bullets and is gonna kill everyone N2, or stuff. I think this is a pretty bad concept, and doesn't fit the aim of mafia.

It’s a cool concept for a single player game. For a multiplayer game it’s silly, people would give themselves vests every night!

But Mafia is not about zombies. It's neat for a game like Call of Duty, or any FPS style game that is NOT multiplayer. Not for Mafia, a mind game with 15 players. It's a bad idea, and if it was to be implemented I would stop playing, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be alone.

Yes and when you donate you get a large sum of points. So then you can use those points to do the store which goes back to the original problem.

If you make the perks one-use, put limitations on how much they can be used in one game, price it properly (so it's like a "treat" every now and then) then it could fit in quite nicely. It's already chaotic to the point of being only somewhat predictable. It's not like some purity or perfect balance would be violated.
If you had some extremely expensive "god items" that can protect you from a lynch for one day or something, it could be quite an amusing surprise if it's only seen once per 20 games or something.
My concern is the extreme levels of salt that could be caused if someone uses an item too well to turn a lost game into a won game and makes others who should have won lose.

Im never going to add anything that alters active games with points but cosmetic things could be possible as a purchase instead of an unlock..
