Regularly run games of about 8-13 players, with a fairly consistent player pool. The site is as "dead" as it was in 2017 and 2016 and 2015 tbh lol.
Best way to figure out how many players are around is to just list 'em out.

A lot of those 30 have only played in one or two of the games tho. There's like 7/8 people I'd say which basically sign up to every other game at least (or host).
Then obviously there's old fogies like you which randomly drop back in XD
p;edit just checked and only 4 of those 5 sfms were in the last month, so I probably should have cut out the 5th game. (The 5th game ended May 9th but started pre-May.) That would correspond to cutting out 5 people from the list in the spoilers.

About the SC2 mod... well, I can't compare the past and present of NA player base, but when it comes to EU - I can definitely say it's "not good player" heavy compared to it's past. Most likely because the mod has been dead on EU between months and a year several times on that server.
Last time I played on EU was ~5 months ago and then there were new players only. Someone with 5k points would be highest player in point count almost all of the games, while the same would be below average on NA in many games.
Just you wait, we're planning to host a 20-30 player FM soon
