Doctor healing himself (Busdriver effing things up)

So I was doctor and I selected to heal the sheriff, the sheriff was attacked that night but the Bus Driver swapped our places (Doctor and Sheriff). Anyway so I got the message that I was swapped by a bus driver, then that I was attacked and healed by a doctor.

Later in the game I found out I was the only dr. Is this a bug? is Bus Driver supposed tu fuk everything up?
