Hello guys! Do you know that Dark.Revenant once made a map for WC3, called Russian Roulette? Well, in homage to that game, I will present to you a new role - Roulette Master!

Role Name: Roulette Master
Alignment: Neutral/Evil
Game Size(s): Any game size bigger than 10 players works.
Abilities: Roulette Master can imprison 2 players at once in a single night (like Jailor) and force then to play Russian Roulette against each other. While imprisoned, both victims will be roleblocked, but they will be also able to use anonymous jail chat and share information. The victim that loses the Russian Roulette dies, while the winner receives night immunity (as he really was jailed) and is released after night ends. Losing a Russian Roulette means losing your life, so no immunities and heals can save the loser. If both victims refuse to play Russian Roulette, Roulette Master will kill then both. The Roulette Master can also pose himself as one of the victims and play Russian Roulette with single captive.
Intended Purpose: This role is an homage to Russian Rolette mini-game. The strong side of Roulette Master is that he can perfectly roleblock two people at once and kill one of then. The weak side is that he cannot control which of those victims will die, and worse yet, those people can share information with each other, which means that winner of Roulette will be able to get an upper hand in game later.
Mini-Game Rules: The Russian Roulette will use a gun with a single bullet. The number of rounds can be determined by Roulette Master or by Game Master (6 rounds by default). The number of the round with the bullet is always random. The player that began the first round has the right to pass his gun once. While imprisoning his victims, Roulette Master can choose who will begin the first round. When playing a game with a single victim, Roulette Master always starts first.
Possible Cons: The ability to jail and roleblock 2 people at once is a bit too much, so roleblock can be optionally disabled for the winner of Russian Roulette (he could use his night action as soon as he is released). Mafia can be also be among the victims of Roulette Master, which can allow him to pinpoint then if noone else was killed.

Win Condition: Be the last killing role left alive or win 3 games against your victims.

I love it. It's well balanced - no need to remove the role-block. I think that the more I think about this role, the more I like it.

1) Does a Consort/Other Non Mafioso Mafia role count as a killing role?

2a) When the Roulette master accomplishes his objective, will the game instantly end?
2b) If no, does he have to survive to the end to win?

looks nice.
I think i prefer the gambler tho. :D

I would love to see an S-FM based on this theme, set in a mysterious casino. People in deadchat can play roulette with their post counts.

i think we can stop with faggy roleblock classes right? no one likes jailors cuz they have too much powre. ur basically doing a jailor that can hold 2 people. dafuq.

i know that this game is for casuals and this would appeal to a lot of people but for people like me that play the game for the competition and SKILL....Things like this make me sick.

If the loser shoots himself can he get healed by a doctor?
It would suck if there's a revealed invest, and he loses in roulette... You get the point.

If the revealed investigator and another town person are captured by Roulette Master, that person can intentionally sacrifice himself and lose the game on purpose (shoot without passing) so that revealed town role can still live. The first turn rule perfectly allows that.

Oh yeah, and there will be 1/100 chance that the gun will not fire at all, and both victims can be released without harm ^^

Here are the extended rules of Russian Roulette mini-game:

Before the start of the game, each victim... err, I mean each participant will choose a number, ranging for 1 to 6 (the default number of rounds). The gun will not fire in chosen rounds. For example, let's say player 1 chose number 4 and player 2 chose number 2. During the game, the gun will not fire in rounds 2 and 4, but it can still fire in any of the other rounds, including round 1.
There is also an exception to this rule: If both players chose the same number, the gun WILL FIRE at round of the chosen number. For example, each player independently chose the number 3. The gun then fires at round 3. From point of view of any of players, that round should be safe for shooting. Yet things like this can really happen, so keep your wits with you!
The Roulette Master, when playing himself again the victim, has one good advantage: He knows what number was chosen by his victim. So he can learn the number of 2 rounds that will not fire at all, or in case of same number choice, the exact number of round where the gun will fire. Defeating him in Russian Roulette will be not an easy feat - you can say odds that you lose are approximately 3/4. So be careful with choice of your number when you face up in Russian Roulette against a player that could be Roulette Master (and keep in mind that mini-game chat is anonymous).

I'd love to see this role in a game. I can't really see anything wrong with it, especially when it can be tweaked to suit the setup like removing role blocking.
