Because all donkeys are annoying assholes with a nigger voice, similar to Shrek's.

The donkey suddenly shrieks as the touch of your foot. It opens it's eyes and glares at you. The irisis are a firehot red that pierce through to your soul. The donkey suddenly catches on fire and turns into a lion with a crimson fur. What do you do with this seven foot tall beast with bloodlust in it's eyes?

Sing trololol, or you can yell "FOR NARNIA" and fight.

To see if there are any flies on him. If not he would probably not be rotten, in which case you can eat him. After all your in an unknown area... probably won't be leaving anytime soon lol

Obviously because I kick ass.

Honestly creed, if this is the answer then you fail at making puzzles.

Is the monkey an actual monkey?

Is the monkey a metaphor?

Is the monkey a pun to disguise the real object/person?

Have I seen this monkey before?

Is the location pertinent to the reason I kick the monkey?

By "come across" do you literally mean I am walking and find the monkey along my travels as opposed to it being a play on words?

Would I kick the dead monkey if it were alive?

Does the dead monkey want me to kick it?

Is the dead monkey responsible for me being in this location?

What monkey?

Sorry, misread the original animal, act as if I typed donkey instead of monkey.
