Coroner Wiki Article

On the wiki, it states that "The Coroner cannot be selected through Random Town or Random Any unless there is a Janitor or Disguiser in the game."
However, I have played multiple games lately where there is no janitor/disguiser and a coroner. Is this an inaccuracy in the wiki or what?

I believe there's actually a specific option that affects this, if you can only see their last night target, then they only random with janitor, but if you can see them ALL, then they random normally.

The coroner can only spawn from a random roll when 1 of 2 conditions have been met:

1. That there is a janitor in the game.
2. That the coroner has options enabled.

So if you don't want to see the coroner, don't enable any of his options. Then he'll be a very rare spawn indeed.
