Typically, day 1 goes out by some of the players claiming cop and (fake) claiming who their n0 clear is. It helps establish in later days who the real clear was if the sheriff ever were to die, and allows the sheriff to freely claim. Yes, there is the risk of fake claiming an innocent on a mafia, and the mafia knowing you're not the real cop, thereby giving them PoE. But if this is done correctly, the benefits outweigh the risks, in my opinion.

Two, I think not knowing whether you're being pressured or not is going to be a bit jarring for some of you. Sure, I said I'll update every 8 hours, but I'm human, and might be late (I'll do my best not to). You can pretend we're playing in the olden times of forum mafia where the hosts did it manually/silently, and players pretended to be helpful by posting current vote counts.

Anyway, I think there'll be a sort of tradeoff to the condorcet lynch. It doesn't give people as much reason to compromise on who the vote is, since the preferences are all laid out on the table. However, the town can use this to pressure multiple people at once without fear of running into the 'shit, its end of day and we need to lynch someone, but im not sure we can get enough votes on them.'

That's kind of what I'm experimenting with this setup.

Also, I think i'm going to build a mini tool that people can use to post the current suspicious list at will. TBD.

How long, in your experience, do games on this setup usually last?

I will more likely sign as a reserve than a... what do you call it... "original player"(?). Still plenty of time though.

Truth being told - there is someone in the signup list with whom I am not very eager to play with ( and vice versa). Probably not a smart thing to say publically though? :P

It needs to be wrapped in a spoiler, with the name being 'cvote'
The names need to be on a new line, or comma separated. Can't do space separated because of Marsh.
I can make an effort to correct for this, but don't put anything else in the cvote tag, or it might not work.

yes bb, i meant that night one will be friday afternoon thru saturday afternoon.

To me, such a thing is so common that it barely falls on the "Problem Radar" (or whatever to call it). I think every game there are players who are far more "AFK" than just half of one game day.

Don't be like that. Last game I played naz was in it and we were far from on good terms at the time. You don't have to like someone to play mafia and letting someone keep you from something you enjoy is childish and only hurts yourself.
