Too Long of Name for Colors

I recently got past 5.6k points in Mafia and have been incapable of generating a coloured name; I usually use Handsome Jack and i wanted my name to have red handsome, but everytime i try and use it; it says my name is too long.

This is my formatting, please send help:
-<c val="FF0000">Handsome</c> Jack

Additional info: Whenever i try to type ANYTHING in color, like in the text box after failing the names, nothing comes into the text box at all; my SC2 ID is 1-3942411

I don't know why it says your name is too long. That sounds like a bug, though I'm rather skeptical you speak the truth.

About not being able to chat in colored text - that is normal. You can't colored chat with 5k points. You need 20k points for that.
With 5k you can only use colored name, colored lw, colored dn.

Update: When hitting 5k points, the max character limit is 20 characters for your name. The color code itself takes 20 characters, meaning at 5k points, i cant even use it at all.

The characters used in the colour code are not counted. And that is the default character limit for names, which is increased when one passes 5000 points.

Ah. That's because wiki lies... Post a replay with you checking the Help panel, we'll see how many points you had. And post one with the 20 charc max.

Ah. That's because wiki liesIn -Mafia- during name selection if you hover your mouse over the dropdown list for hats or model selection - you can see how many points required for next unlock. Your next Model unlocks are at 2760, 3720, 5640. You next hat unlocks are at 2300, 3100, 4700. You already had Raven God which means that is definetly less than 2760 points.

You can see your exact number of points you have in Help, AFTER the game starts (during or after name selection). In the replay you selected Help right when the map loaded up and before host even picked a setup.

5000 - 2012 = 2988 = 5000 > 2012
2012 - 5000 = -2988 = 5000 > 2012 (i messed up but idc)

if the number after - makes the result go to - then it means its bigger than the other number

Lol sorry if you were offended, but it's the tendency of every non-very-serious thread to get jokey here. Plus, we didn't call you stupid. I know it was honest mistake. Also last posts were in March.
