As it is I'll just start slowly rolling out role cards as soon as we get 20 and see whether FMVIII has started.

A 16 player variant is available, but after Fragos took it upon himself to up the count to 20 that's kind of where we've landed. I'm actually going to update the FAQ thread with the 16 player variant because I was supposed to include that as well in the first place (derp). It's a supply/demand thing; with FMVIII imminent I doubt there'll be as big of a queue, but once 16 players have signed there will be a period of time where up to 4 more people can join.

Since it's the 21st and the FMVIII accounts have just been sent out, this won't start until after Xmas. Day 1 will hopefully begin on the 30th Dec, so Night 1 will last throughout New Years Eve. Depending on how FMVIII pans out though we'll have to see; if we can wait until that has had a day or two then people who die have a chance to join.

I would have liked to start it as early as possible but we haven't even got a full roster yet (okay it's only been a few hours but still). Earliest start would probably be on or around the 23rd, and I assume many of you are busy like I am over the Xmas break.

I know this is only my first post, but I play Mafia a lot and have lurked your forums for a little while. Also, I absolutely LOVE Battlestar Galactica, so it's putting two great things together into one =D.

I know it's my first time here, but I want to try playing Forum Mafia at least once, to see if it is more interesting that regular SC2 Mafia.

Aye aye cap'n, in fact part of the reason for mini forum mafia is to let new people get some experience at it if they can't (or don't want to) get into one of the regular, bigger FM games. :) I'm still kind of new myself but I'm starting to get used to it thanks to the past two mini games.

Of course you can sign up, this will be a great way to test yourself for future FMs (though you're being thrown in at the deep end for this one)

Since the three of you only have 1 or 2 posts each though I'm just going to do a quick check on IP addresses and the like; need to make sure you're not duplicate accounts (I'm sure you aren't though)

I am happy to have newcomers enter and show what they're made of :) You're all listed as 'awaiting confirmation' though just because, well, a bunch of fairly new accounts with 1 or 2 posts needs a cursory check.

Since we're full at this stage I'll probably begin sending out role cards quite soon - if we can get day 1 started early then we can start night 1 and just have it stretch over the holiday period.

Also Kromos who is your brother? If you want to unsign for him at this stage you may, just PM me soon

Essentially, the 'Cylon Traitor' is a more balanced version of the 'Voodoo Lady' from epicmafia. The Cylons need to keep spamming their own special code phrases during the day, so keep an eye out for that. The rest of the possible roles should be fairly simple but I'm happy to answer any specific questions you may have (anyone can PM me with questions which I can answer anonymously, I'll begin updating the Q & A thread soon).

I'm having some friends round for dinner tonight so role cards won't go out until late.
