View Full Version : Where can I read about new roles?

New roles come out, and I have no way of reading up on the new roles short of hosting a game and just studying them there. The Wiki takes forever to update. Is there a place that posts the new roles in detail? I wanna understand them before I dump them into public games and ruin the fun.

I usually don't have time to work on the Wiki. If one of the regular testers like Claw, Goon, or Procyon edited the wikis then it would be fast.

or you could possibly just add it to "Noteworthy New Versions" http://www.thecouncilofmages.com/forum/index.php/topic,37.0.html when you add new roles, just brief explanation what they do.

An easy way to do this without waiting for the wiki would be to simply create a game by yourself and read through the descriptions from the setup screen.

1. before advising something to other person, make sure you tried it yourself
2. consider the possibility that person you're advising to has already tried it

simply put, i tried it long long ago, it doesn't work, tutorial page is blank, try yourself before telling ppl to waste time.

He said the setup page, not the tutorial. When you start a game by yourself, you're the host and can flip through the possible roles and get a quick summary of what they do.

If I were to adopt that tone I'd tell you to stop wasting people's time with outdated information.

The advice I gave does in fact work, I've been using it in every update where new roles have been introduced.

the problem is we don't know all the properties of the new roles. I have no idea how the disguiser actually works.

Yes, it does work no matter how much you cover your eyes and ears and scream lalalala. Stop posting incorrect information on these boards and defending it to the death with your idiocy.
