Right now, the current chat is pretty muddled and hard to see. The sc2 mod fixes this in a pretty nice way by adding colors and numbers. I think the numbers is a good idea, and will probably added soon, but there's an issue with the colors.

Currently, there's a nifty feature that, when a player dies, all mentions of them get replaced from their white text name, to a color/role type display, like so:

Right before lynching:
Bob: don't lynch me

After Lynching
Bob [Vigilante]: don;t lynch me!
Voss has hammered Bob!
Bob [Vigilante] was lynched by Greg, Tiffany [Doctor], Theo, and Joe [Mafioso], and Voss

As you can see, if the names are precolored, it'd clash and be confusing.

But the reasoning for keeping the colored names is that it's easier to make associations without having to worry about the names themselves.

So... I could just use numbers in the chat like so

3. Bob: don't lynch me!
4. Voss: muahahaha

Thoughts?

Also, suggestion by Crypt to alternate black and charcoal outlinings between messages. In addition to this, I'm also going to bold the beginnings of names, so it's like

4. Voss: mauahahaha

Seems cool, we'll only know what works best by testing it out. :)
