So... you can add more town by typing 'addtown', if you're the host, or addmafia. Obviously thats not the way this is going to be. I wanted to work on game play first before I do setup. But that's next!

I'm not sure why messages weren't appearing unless you refreshed. And something caused the game to crash after the game ended. I'll look into both of these issues right now!

Thanks. It's this, and people commenting this thread that keep me motivated to continue! Lots of issues, obviously, but I cowboy coded most of the web stuff, this weekend.

Yea it is similar. I can try to work up some art of this if you end up needing it. I'm not that good, but I'm willing to play around to try to come up with something.

sure! I'll keep working on making this into a playable version. Next up is those 2 pretty big bugs, and then setup creation.

I would recommend working on the hosting ability, and the waiting in lobby ability. This would improve the ability to test for bugs.
Perhaps dont let it auto-start
Because right now Voss has to set the rolelist to the exact number of people he knows will join (Any less game wont start, any more and it creates another lobby)


Other than that it seems to be fun.

^^ sure we can figure something out. But a basic one would do for now.

If you want a quick suggestion for the short term. Allow current active forum members to host Lobby's and games. Because if they troll we can stop them.

Gotta figure out a better way to handle people that want spaces in their names, but that'd require quite a bit of rework on my end. Figure I'd just disable that for now.

figured it out. If it happens again (which it shouldn't), it's not because of the bug I fixed.

So the problem was that the day 0 day chat (the pregame talking) would only push out to people that were in the game before the first word was said. when day 1 rolls around, all the players have joined, so it would never be an issue.

pushed post game lobby chat, and knowing what players are in the game, and who's the host.

A few questions, and I feel like answers to a few of em will simply be "not done yet":

Interested in your colour choices, especially for cult and town. Any reason you decided to change them? Easier to see etc?
Cult implodes on death option for CL, is that half suicide or all suicide?
What made you want to include a Mafia Bus Driver?
I can see you've got options to include cooldowns for some neutral roles, charges for some town roles. Same thing planned for mafia roles?

Thanks! I've been getting my inspiration largely from FM games.

Cult's color is more sickly green than regular. And I chose blue because of epicmafia that call themselves blues all the time. But if people prefer different colors, It's supppeerr easy to change. I'm not particularly partial
Its supposed to be all but 1. I figure a mix of the options for Cult Leader is balanced for the game, but keeping PR roles and no implosion, and no cool down, is pretty IMBA.
It was super easy to implement and I don't think that game breaking, and fun to do.
Which ones do you think need charges? Eventually, I'm going to go back and make all of them with "charges" and those with negative values mean infinity. I'm still a bit of a ways from there rn though.
