Bodyguards who don't die when their target is attacked? That's pretty badass. I want that option in SC2 Mafia :p

I want to design a loooooong mafia game. More strategy less action.

You could add a "Page" role. Basically a Student whose master can be anything but King or Prince.

Hmm... great idea... might add 1 or 2...

Planning to make the Pages die if they join Foreign Spies.

I see a disturbing lack of Minstrels in this court.

Royality setting without the court jester!?

BorkBot

Contrary to popular belief, a court jester's objective isn't to get lynched, but to entertain (i.e. roleblock) people. It'd essentially be the same as a courtesan :p

Minstrels and jesters. What might they do then...

Ministers and Princes are the votes that enables the Usurper to claim the throne, with Princes having more votes than Ministers. Day lynches work as normal, maybe with more votes or instant lynches by King.

I think the best place for the minstrel wouldn't be to actually take part in the game.. The minstrel could be the game master, who tells what has happened at night at the start of the day and such.

The Minstrel has to provide backing vocals to everything said in day chat by quoting and elongating syllables.

Any scum roles have the ability to reveal themselves and kill the Minstrel immediately, which would probably be worth it.
