It's a mod where you play 10-minutes games, which usually result in the Jester being a Confirmed Doctor, the Town Killing roles murdering half of the Town, and the SK being a Confirmed Sheriff after getting some scum lynched.

It's like speed Mafia -- it's fun, especially if you play with a group of friends. 10 minutes is a bit of an exaggeration -- it's more like 20-30 minutes overall. Also, in the game, SuperJack with his magical powers can make you super large and be able to walk around the Town, but only if you're good. Would encourage you to check the game out!

I've lived in London for a year now. I've been all around central, numerous parks, and other places. As one would expect from an expensive capital, 90% of it is a dirty, messy shithole or a surburbian forest. Unfortunately the World War 2 blitz bombings have taken away most of the pretty architecture and left run-down 1950s-1970s concrete tundras.

Naturally, it's got a few beautiful structures (like the Houses of Parliament) but even most of the supposedly nice parts are actually still pretty shit (for example the London Eye is only mildly aesthetically pleasing, and if you've actually explored the 2km around the London Eye, your opinion will probably fall into the negative xD.

There are many massive, lovely parks though. Thankfully the Victorians had those installed.

I wasn't particularly impressed by the Southwark area, I'll give you that, and I thought the London Eye itself was a bit gimmicky. Most of the city north of the Thames is nice though, at least the places I went. I mean, most large cities are going to have nice areas and not-so-nice areas -- you just avoid the areas without much to do, or which are run-down, not safe, etc.

I do mainly lurk around South London to be fair, so you may very well be onto something. I've never seen much of London further north than the Thames. Perhaps it was because I'd seen what was much further north (Birmingham, exc.) and decided to stay the hell away from that direction xD.

Though, much of coastal Britain is beautiful in my experience, even without you making an effort to stay away from the "areas without much to do, or which are run-down, not safe, etc."

I am a little biased too, because I hate the commotion. I used to live in a far less densely populated area >.<

I see -- there's a certain mindset needed to enjoy a city. I personally don't like overly dense places (hence, my comment about NYC) so I'm sympathetic to your argument against places which have too much commotion). There are many quieter, more peaceful parts even of large cities, however, so I feel like you can have your cake and eat it too (convenience, lots of things to do, but not too much congestion around).

I'd agree with yah completely. That's part of what makes the parks so great, actually. Most seem to have forgotten how good those are :3

Yeah, city parks can be awesome around the warmer seasons. Right now, maybe not so much fun, but still peaceful places to walk around.

Yeah, 50 pages of science -- not so easy. 50 pages of liberal arts -- much more managable, lol.

EDIT: I also found biology to be a lot of memorization vs. other areas of science were more applying concepts to solve problems.

I hate myself for not studying during the holidays. I had like 3 weeks and I did nothing really :/ Well, the human part of biology like hormones or nerves or senses that's okay. I mean it's a ot easier than like cell and the chemical processes etc. The funny part is that we had biology for like 3 years and I never did anything during the classes, mostly slept or was on the phone really. That time I didn't know I would choose biology as my final exam lol ... so basically I have to study everything in 1 year which is managable but yeah

Doesn't sound like too much fun. I preferred Chemistry because at least the concepts came together logically and it was more about problem solving than raw memorization. I.e. You might be able to deduce what might happen in a specific situation given the principles that you've learned. In Biology, if you don't remember random organ X or random characteristic Y, there isn't necessarily much you can do about that.

Yeah well it makes sense. I liked chemistry but then when I came to the hs the teacher was like really strickt and kept getting bad grades I started hating it lol. I assume you're talking about a high school course, right? Often times, the teachers do a review session type of deal or you can consolidate everything into an outline to study. Agreed it's hard to remember everything from all the way back, especially if it's not necessarily related / cumulative and is more memorization instead.

I am working now -- there are pluses and minuses compared to being in school. Less free time, but at least you get paid. I mean, there are plenty of things you can do with languages / cultures. A lot of people travel overseas to teach English in different parts of their world. In the meantime, you are getting an enjoyable cultural experience and learning about where you are. Based on your location, I imagine there would also be a demand for Slovak in many different places as well.

From the people I know that work in something related to languages, the ones who do the best are those who master a popular language other than English, and a not so common one.

Sounds about right -- a lot of the people who teach English internationally don't do it for the pay, but as an opportunity to be somewhere else after graduation.

Assuming (sorry if you're not), Kat-san is white colored in skin, she'll get a greater pay than average to teach English in an Asian country. And if shes Asian, she may have an easier time learning the language.

I've been told that if you're anything but white-colored, they may think that your English is not perfect.

If you're looking to go to Japan to teach, the internet tells me that you need a four year degree in anything you want (preferably in language), your TEFL certificate, which takes maybe four months to get, and of course your work visa. I may end up in Asia in a couple years. Tell me if you know anything!

I'm involved in law, which is interesting but not great in terms of hours sometimes. Given your interests, I think the language / travel thing could work very well for you. Chinese is going to become an increasingly useful language in the future (in terms of the economy, world influence, etc.), so a good skill to pick up if you have the opportunity.

Great choice. Frog mentioned something about it being useful.

I like it (the direction you're going in), but my opinion on it probably isn't as good as someone who isn't actually Chinese. Personally, I find it notoriously hard to write, yey hard to read, and easy enough to speak.

I grew up around not-Chinese-Americans learning the language. The progress they make depends on the effort they put into it, and the amount they can immerse themselves in the culture.
