That's it! Time for a HARDER puzzle!!!

RULES:

Okay, so these things are little riddles called "lateral thinking puzzles"!! They suggest situations that sound really weird, but make so much more sense once you explain them. Yes, YOU!!!! Your job in this fun little thread is to solve the riddle... and you have as many guesses as you like!!!

If you were just guessing, though, we'd probably be here all day. So, you can also ask an unlimited number of yes or no questions! I will answer everypony's questions with "yes", "no", or "irrelevant", irrelevant as in you're asking something that just has nothing to do with the answer, silly!

If nopony gets the answer for a while, I'll give you all a hint! I usually have at least a couple of juicy hints for every riddle, so feel free to ask for one if you're collectively stumped! :D

Be careful, though! These questions can be really tricky, and you often have to take a step to the side in your assumptions to set your hooves back on the right path. You gotta think laterally!

Hopefully, this one is tricky enough that you don't get it right away!

PUZZLE FOUR:

Twilight Sparkle has quite a few clocks in her library, like, nearly a dozen of them!! I think she likes clocks! Maybe they give her some background noise while she's reading books all the time, or...

Where was I again?

Oh yeah, so lets say she has a dozen clocks! Now, when daylight savings rolled around, she had to go to each one and switch 'em forward an hour! She went to all her clocks around midnight and corrected them... except for ONE. This ONE clock, she waited until the next day at nine in the morning to fix, even though she's the most obsessive pony I know with timing and details!!!

Why?

Did this clock serve a specific purpose that couldn't be interrupted at the time?

Let's try.

That clock had an alarm to wake her up the next morning, and she wanted to sleep the same number of hours as the night before.

She only got the clock the next day?

Because this ONE clock requires a key to change the time, and the hole is under the 1st or 12th number.

Or even... It's an hourglass and needs to be fixed on a regular basis regardless of daylight savings.

And if it's still none of the above, then it's obviously a sun-dial and she couldn't reposition it accurately until the sun rises.

Even if it were the sundial, I don't think you need the sun if you already knew the correct time. Perhaps the keys.

Sorry for being so non-lateral, but I know some clocks whose mechanics would be screwed if you tried changing its dates during certain times of the day, but times?

But we aren't talking about ME... We are talking about ponies... (hint hint)

Maybe that pony lived in such a big place that it traverses a timezone. That clock lies behind one hour or something.

It was an hourglass she changes every 24 hours, normally at 8 in the morning. It was already going, so she could not stop it, instead having to wait for it to finish and then wait another hour to restart it.

You can stop an hourglass by putting it on it's side.

Not to mention I already said something of that sort...

Clocks requiring keys, hourglasses and sundials are copyright property of CptGorilla. No stealing my brilliant ideas!

Was the clock special to her?
Did the clock hold some significance towards daylight savings time for the reason she did not want to change it?

My answer:

Did she fall asleep before changing it?

Yes, but I wonder what faction the dogs belonged with.

A) The COMmunists.
B) Admiral's Trolls and Griefers
C) Autism supporters.
D) All of the above?

Dust

The answer to that is B. No COMmunist would subject even a pony to that work. A COMrade would have mercy and killed the pony.

This is true, The Trolls of Admiral have a strict NO MERCY policy.
