There are 2 ducks in front of 2 other ducks. There are 2 ducks behind 2 other ducks. There are 2 ducks beside 2 other ducks. How many ducks are there?

42shadow42 got it first!

Answer - There are 4 ducks in total arranged in a square. Most of the puzzle is solved in the last sentence of 2 ducks besides 2 ducks. If there were any more ducks then the first two sentences would need to accommodate more ducks in behind or in front.

edit - im going to have to make the next puzzle harder :)

4 Ducks in a square.
That would mean there are 4 ducks beside a duck.

Yes, there are.

"There are 2 ducks beside 2 other ducks."

Since beside is two way this also indicates the "2 other ducks" are beside the "2 ducks".
