I haven't really been active for the last month and I just realized CJ 3.0 is back. I thought it was going to be CJ 2.2?

And the reason I wasn't active for the last month has to do with...
-Hiking in the desert
-Withdrawal symptoms from quitting nicotine
-Catching a cold thinking it was withdrawal from nicotine
-Catching MERS thinking it was catching a cold thinking it was withdrawal from nicotine
-Being violently ill and weak even after MERS

Some fun facts about my experience with MERS:
-The symptoms don't go away unless you treat the symptoms
-You cough at least once a minute for a week+ straight, even when you're sleeping
-There will be blood...
-That fever I had, that was no nicotine withdrawal...
-1/3 of people contracting MERS die

Not really a C.J. topic... yet...

How did you recover? Did it just go away?

Also, I thought the MERS was just introduced into the U.S?

Yeah that's right I heard about those 2 in the US. I live in Dubai and spent time hiking in Oman. Honestly I think I caught it from hooking up with either a flight attendant or a school teacher, because I was never around camels while hiking.

For the first week I didn't treat the symptoms.
Then I treated the symptoms with medicine.
I stopped taking medicine earlier this week and almost all of the symptoms are gone.
I might still be contagious, but I'm feeling 99.99% better now, still a little weak.

From what I can gather from your posts, you are neither in hospital nor in quarantine.

did a doctor diagnose you with this?

Yeah I avoided the hospital route, or telling anyone official I was sick. Are you kidding me? I have to travel for business, I can't afford to be blacklisted from flights.

lol yes, good idea, go on flights and infect others with a disease that kills 1/3 ppl.

Anyways, how do you know you have it? WebMD? Are you sure it's not cancer?

The women who most likely infected me were both diagnosed with MERS. I'm assuming I got it from either or both of them.

And yeah, it's a little irresponsible, but I cancelled my trips for the last several weeks... I'm probably not contagious anymore.

So, if you and these 2 women had it, which one you 3 do you think is gonna die?

what do you do frog where you fly all the time

@ Crypt, LOL!!!! The teacher is alive and well. The air hostess is still sick... 1/3 ... 0.o

@ Apache - When I was violently ill I didn't realize I was in a position of life and death... so no, I had no fear of death. I travel often for market development - analysis, setting up, opening operations in new countries.

**Finally 100% ! Back to the gym !

Honestly, who wouldn't go to the doctor if they thought they had an illness that could easily kill them? I find this story really hard to believe.

Make sure to make a detour through the old folks home and childcare center.

Will only kill people with weak immune system and comorbidities.

LOL! You make a very good point. If I venture out towards the gathering of an entire industry/sector, I could potentially wipe out 1/3 of it. So if I were to hang out with Hanson/One Direction etc. the odds are favorable.

Some MERS patients didn't even get symptoms.
