Gladiator Arena
Background Information
Welcome to the Gladiator Arena. You've been transported into a forest arena with everything you might need to survive for several nights. The winner of this match gains control of WIFOM City. The Mayor, Titus, got bored and decided that this was a good way to determine which of the town's factions could win. The four factions Red, Purple, Green, and White have each sent three representatives to the game. There's also the Mayor's Pet who has always been a little weird. He was fascinated with death and told Titus that no one was qualified to take over the town because they all should be dead.
The Mayor's Pets lack a night chat. All other factions have a night chat with their color only.
Red and Purple - Win by Eliminating the Green & White Factions.
Green and White - Win by eliminating the Red & Purple Factions.
Mayor's Pet - Make sure only one color is left alive (Red, not Red and Purple) for instance. Win with that color. If members of both the Red and Purple teams are alive, but no Green and White, the game ends with the Mayor's Pets losing.
Role Selection Process
The Red and Green teams each have one killer, one investigative role, and one other role that is not a protective or killing. The Red and Green teams determine which specific roles each player has in their respective night chats prior to their arrival in the forest.
The Purple and White teams each have one communicative role, one protector role and one other role that is not a protective or killing role. The Purple and White teams determine which specific roles each player has in their night chats prior to their arrival in the forest.
Mayor's Pets select their roles from any roles not confirmed as the Killers and Not Killers from the Colored Teams on Day 1 via a PM to the host. For instance, if the Red and Green teams select Arsonist and Mass Murderer... the Mayor's Pet Killer can select the Jailor or the Serial Killer. The Not killer for the Mayor's Pet can select ANY role not previously selected by the other teams and will be given a list to choose from.

Role Cards
Arsonist
Selects someone to douse in gasoline. Targets are unaware they are doused until the first lighting. Can light during the day with a private message to the host. The Arsonist's attacks cannot be healed. Selects either one autovest or detection immunity from the first investigative role other than beguiler.
Jailor
Jails someone at night, removing them from their normal night chat and roleblocking them. First to PM between Jailors and Architects puts the target in their location. If the jailor is jailed/architected then he does not see his own chat. Roleblocking stops execution. Witching causes autoexecution unless the jailor is roleblocked or architected. Target is otherwise night immune. The doctor can heal the Jailor's kill. This is abnormal for many. May pick one autovest or detection immunity from the first non-beguiler investigator.
Mass Murderer
Kills all players (excluding himself) who visit a particular target. If two mass murderers hit the same house, both will be attacked. An MM defending his own house attacks his attackers but is also attacked by them. Can choose one autovest or detection immunity from the first non-beguiler investigator. This role has a one night cooldown if it kills more than three people in a spree. It may still visit if forced by witch but it will not kill. The MM's house is unaffected by bus drivers.
Serial Killer
Kill one person at night. Kills escorts who visit him. May chose one autovest or detection immunity from the first non-beguiler investigator.
To ensure all killers are balanced, I am setting the balancing issues here. Basically any killer has one protective method/item that is useless against them. Those are listed below. Each killer is vulnerable to the others. So Jailors are vulnerable to Doctors, which usually they are not.
Arson counters Doctor. Arsonist has stealth mode until he ignites for the first time.
Jailor counters Vests. Jailor can communicate with his target, for better or worse.
Mass Murderer counters Movement (ex: Bus Drivers, Witches and Beguilers) and has a possibly higher or lower KPN.
Serial Killer counters Escorts and kills them, giving an outside chance of having higher than 1 KPN.
Agent
Visit your target. You will know who they visited and who visited them.
Beguiler
Cause actions that would target you to hit someone else. Cannot escape jailing in this manner. Unlimited uses.
Investigator
Finds the investigative pairing of a target. Investigative pairings are the categories (killer, investigator, etc.), and citizens are in the Special Category. Detection Immune reads as Special. Insane comes back as a wrong pairing random.orged.
Sheriff
Detects the Color of a particular player. Detection Immune reads as the sheriff's own faction. Insane generates a wrong result random.org ed
Architect
During the day, select two players and put them in a new night chat. If you are jailed, you will not see the night chat. If your target is jailed, whoever PMs first controls the target. Same thing applies for multiple architects. Architect targets are not night immune. Architect targets are NOT roleblocked. Architect can architect himself.
Blackmailer
Comes up with a blackmail for targets to complete. Target has two days to complete.
You may increase the requirements of a blackmail if the target fails to complete the task on day 1.
No conditional blackmails. Ex: If you are doctor, you must heal X. If you are a killer, you must kill X.
All Blackmails must be host approved. No suicides will be permitted.
May require the target to use their action on someone. The target succeeds if they submit the appropriate task to the hosts, regardless of bussing etc.
Blackmailed targets are released from blackmail upon their blackmailer's death. Otherwise, they are not notified.
May not blackmail Drug Dealt.
Upon completion, targets may claim blackmailed without penalty even if currently blackmailed unless this would specifically break a new blackmail. Ex: Blackmailed not to claim prior blackmail.
Drug Dealer
Deals Drugs Similar to M-FM 18 but cannot drug deal blackmailed, even if a blackmailer on their team sends the same blackmail. Can drug insane, generating wrong results for his investigation. The wrong category will be random.orged. If the target is not an investigator, their feedback will be changed to impossible feedback for their role. Ex: A Mass Murderer is drugged insane. He'll get a message about lighting his target on fire. A knight will get a message about slapping his target senseless.
Journalist
Selects someone during the day to interview at night. The interview will be published towards the end of the OoO. Bussing, Witching, Jailing, or Architecting do not impact the journalist interview. You may sign your interview with "The Journalist" but not your name. You also may not put the name of the subject in your message. Ex: Dear Jake = bad.
Bus Driver
Swap two people at night. Anything that happens to one person will happen to the other. May swap himself.
Doctor
Heals one target at night. Cannot heal arsonist attacks. Can heal himself.
Escort
Roleblocks one target at night. Cannot Roleblock Witch, Bus Driver or Knight.
Knight
Selects one target and protects them from all statuses but for soma, lynches and suicides. The Knight cannot select someone in his own color. Jailing is the only roleblock for the Knight. He is immune to bussing, witching, and roleblocking of himself. The knight stops investigation, jailing, bussing, etc and the knight will take his place. The knight is similar to a reverse beguiler.
If the knight's target is jailed, the knight will be jailed instead and the other bad statuses will occur to the knight's target. The knight can stop one attack on his target, resulting in no deaths. If the Knight's target is attacked without healing or autovest, the knight will die/be doused in place of his target. If the Knight's target is doused, the knight will be doused instead.
If the knight's target is roleblocked, then the knight will take the roleblock and any further statuses in the OoO get through to the target.
The Knight only visits when something bad happens to his target. Can select his target of another color at any point, but he only has one target for the whole game. Mayor's Pets cannot select Knight.
Bulletproof Gladiator
During the first half of any day, he may select two players to face off in a fight to the death. Note, this ability has a two day cool down. You get an automatic vest. After the first lynch to the death, you must be in the pairings. All players vote for who to save by PMing the host. Once a player votes to save someone, their PM choice is final. If both players tie and the number of living players is at 14 or higher, both will die. If both players tie and the number of living players is less than 10, no one will die. If there is a tie in the middle, the dead target will be random.orged. PMs to the host will always be anonymous for Gladiator Battles. The gladiator may only use his third gladiator battle after his bulletproof vest has been removed.
Citizen
Has the Power of the Vote.
Jester
One third of all guilty voters who are not the same color as the Jester, rounded up die. If fewer than seven players in the game when the Jester is lynched, only one player suicides.
Pharmacist
Deals in Soma. His soma can be good or evil. If Good, it will give the target a second night action. If evil, it will roleblock the target the next time he tries to act. There is no distinguishing the two until the soma is used. All who use soma must use it in the same day/night. The knight that uses good soma can protect two targets, but any time he uses soma he must protect his second charge. Soma delivery is a visit. The Pharmacist is not stuck with sending only good or only evil soma. The Pharmacist's soma expires on the fourth day. Bulletproof Gladiators may use soma to add a third target to their pairings.
Witch
Mind controls one target to visit someone else. This is vulnerable to the Bus Driver. It cannot mind control the Mass Murderer or the Knight.

6) No Color Claiming. You may only Faction Claim. I'm Red is not acceptable. I'm Red/Purple is. Frequently Asked Questions
Does this mean what I think it means? Douse notifications off until the arsonist ignites for the first time? Because if it is, then I think this is one of the most exciting role options I've seen in a while! Yes it does! I like the stealth option of the arsonist.
There's this really cool Gladiator role that Nazzhoul suggested. Can you include it? Sure. That does look pretty cool. It can replace Bulletproof Governor.
How do the pairings work? What is the Pharmacist? Pairings are done by the type of role. All killers are paired together. All investigators, communications and protectors are paired together. Everyone else is the Special category. See the chart above. Pharmacist is a special.
Is suiciding allowed? Yes, but it is highly frowned on and will likely lead to your side losing.
Are last wills allowed? No.
Note: I do have a co-host but the co-host is anonymous. Smurfing during sign-ups is definitely permitted. I'd want to be anonymous too but I don't think Borkbot would let me and my COM would last about two seconds through this.

Cohen gets credit for being the arsonist that apparently never doused. I like the idea of a stealthy arsonist. Nazzhoul gets credit for the Gladiator... which might have been inspired by Titus.
42shadows42 started the voting idea as a group. I modified that to get Plane Crash. Ika generated the idea of players selecting their own roles from a finite list. I combined the ideas for faction selecting of their own roles. Hate blackmailer, fine. Don't go there. Love it? Load up on them. The players are responsible for selecting their own fates. The Soma idea was stolen and modified from Switzerland. I added evil soma. :>

1) No editing of posts but for hosts {No warnings in day chat, 1 warning in night chat}
2) No videos {1 warning, video will be edited out}
3) No hard to read texts, aka invisible ink. {1 warning}
4) No cryptography where the host doesn't have the code. {Host must be handed answers or key if it is innocent mistake}

6) No Color Claiming. You may only Faction Claim. I'm Red is not acceptable. I'm Red/Purple is. Frequently Asked Questions
Does this mean what I think it means? Douse notifications off until the arsonist ignites for the first time? Because if it is, then I think this is one of the most exciting role options I've seen in a while! Yes it does! I like the stealth option of the arsonist.
There's this really cool Gladiator role that Nazzhoul suggested. Can you include it? Sure. That does look pretty cool. It can replace Bulletproof Governor.
How do the pairings work? What is the Pharmacist? Pairings are done by the type of role. All killers are paired together. All investigators, communications and protectors are paired together. Everyone else is the Special category. See the chart above. Pharmacist is a special.
Is suiciding allowed? Yes, but it is highly frowned on and will likely lead to your side losing.
Are last wills allowed? No.
Note: I do have a co-host but the co-host is anonymous. Smurfing during sign-ups is definitely permitted. I'd want to be anonymous too but I don't think Borkbot would let me and my COM would last about two seconds through this.

Cohen gets credit for being the arsonist that apparently never doused. I like the idea of a stealthy arsonist. Nazzhoul gets credit for the Gladiator... which might have been inspired by Titus.
42shadows42 started the voting idea as a group. I modified that to get Plane Crash. Ika generated the idea of players selecting their own roles from a finite list. I combined the ideas for faction selecting of their own roles. Hate blackmailer, fine. Don't go there. Love it? Load up on them. The players are responsible for selecting their own fates. The Soma idea was stolen and modified from Switzerland. I added evil soma. :>
