Who is who?

This is a 8 player game.

Role List:

Town
Insane Sheriff

The Mechanic:
Mafia DO NOT share a Night chat, nor are they informed of each other's identities.
Mafia may pm me 1 person to kill every other night. If they choose the same person, that person will be killed, if they choose different people, I will random 1 of the 2 choices.
One citizen will appear, normally, as mafia, one will appear as town. Both are aligned as town.

Insane Citizen
You have the power of self respect the vote.
You may or may not appear as your normal investigative alignment.
Not informed that he is insane.

Insane Sheriff
Check one person's alignment each night
Not informed if Insane or otherwise.

Insane Consigliere
Check one person's alignment each night
Not informed if Insane or otherwise.

Citizen
You have the power of self respect the vote.
You may or may not appear as your normal investigative alignment.

Sheriff
Check one person's alignment each night
Not informed if Insane or otherwise.

Consigliere

Win Conditions:
Mafia wins with mafia.

It is possible for them not to be, that's how the role works. I just couldn't think of a way to put that in role format so I just kind of let it be.

Yeah, but if one of them picks the other (A picks B), B won't have picked itself, so there's still only a 50% chance of mafia dying (assuming you actually random). Otherwise they both have to pick each other which is possible, but highly unlikely. And town shouldn't depend on scum stupidity for a chance to win.

Added one mechanic so Day 1 can't be a "Citizens claim and everyone target them so we automatically know if we are insane or not."

This would be better if it was mixed with basterized game and everyone saw all night actions and has to guess which is theirs.

Too complicated. I jsut wanted to do a simple game with a new mechanic or twist.

So 2 mafia invest roles but they have to kill too, sounds like they will either not invest (why would they) or have good communication somehow and one invests other shoots.

Exactly, either you don't shoot untill you find your teamate or you run the risk of killing your teamate and being shit out of luck, I thought mafia was OP when I first saw but now I know they have to play with a lot of finesse to win.

It was a 6 player game until we all discussed and people felt town wasn't strong enough. :P

i would make it cits are never allowed to claim cit becasue then after day 1 a cit will claim and then both maf will shoot that person while checking when all the insane riffs will know who is who

I think for clarity, it would be nice to add the normal Sheriff, Consig and Citizen rolecards to the game.

And add to the description of the insane rolecards: is not informed that he is insane.

This is how it's usually done with variations of roles.

Game, itself, won't start until FM approaches completion.
