Since our beloved bodyguard has only one option for peircing immunity or not and still 3 open slots. Lets do some brainstorming to improve that role.

Basicly he is useless in setups with no mafia or serial killers. He can't prevent cultings and he can't be excluded out of randoms in those games.

I suggest giving him an option in the settings for him to interrupt cultings as well. So he wouldn't be utterly useless. Or give an option to exclude him completely out of the random town and adv town randoms.

New mechanics:
Can be healed, Yes / No
Can prevent cultings, Yes /no
Excludable from randoms Yes /No

What do you guys think?

Lets do some brain storming.

I like all 3 of the options. The cult conversion protection reminds me of the bodyguard from McJesus' Starcraft MFM, which was a pretty good concept imo. Because there's really no place for an "enforcer" (either mafia or town) in SC2 Mafia because it would have too little effect, allowing the bodyguard to do this would be a nice alternative.

I've always felt that can be healed should be an option (though off by default). There are a lot of scum-heavy setups and a bodyguard is not easy to confirm, so that scenario where the BG protects the doctor and the doctor heals the BG wouldn't occur very often. You always have the option to disable ignore immunity if healing is allowed as well.

I have this as an option for my potential BG in the Festival of Blood.

I think it balanced to kill a recruiter if both Mason Leader and Cultist are present... the same way that a BG can kill a GF or Mafioso, there is still a chance town can be hurt.

Its something to think about anyway

i dont know where else to put this:

why would the bg be able to prevent conversions?
technically speaking his job is to protect his target from death and such.
unless the bg will kill the converting player. then i understand

If you're talking about realism.. I'd think a bodyguard would protect their appointed charge from unwanted approaches.

Balance-wise, it will give the bodyguard a purpose in a cult-centered setup, which is nice.
